THE DIETOLOGIST
Van is a Registered Specialist Dietitian and the go to expert, when it comes to weight loss, for patients who have had or planning weight loss surgery.
|She's also an expert at tackling "emotional eating" so you can enjoy the foods you love AND keep the weight off.
My passion is to help people LOVE
real food, EAT
without guilt, discover their HEALTH,
and ENJOY
all that life has to offer. Life's too short to be on a "diet" so helping you break free of "dieting" and discover FOOD FREEDOM
is ultimately my goal!
I get a feeling of satisfaction empowering patients to transform their lives pre and post weight loss surgery, with nutrition and mindset coaching. Breaking free of the dieting mindset and improving their relationship with food and themselves. Especially patients having weight loss (Bariatric) surgery abroad and those patients out of their Private/NHS aftercare who have struggled to reach their desired goals.
Since 2012, I have had the pleasure of helping thousands of bariatric patients improve their health, vitality and confidence. My experience in the NHS and the Private sector has solidified my passion for transforming patients lives, before and after weight loss Surgery. I offer virtual consults
for my patients so you don't need to leave the comfort of your own home.
It’s not what you eat, it’s about WHY you eat!

Introducing The Dietologist
Van is a Specialist Bariatric & Weight Management Dietitian and founder of
“The Dietologist”
I created “The Dietologist” to support both Weight Management & Bariatric patients during one of the most significant, and possibly overwhelming times in their life. I am a friendly, dietitian passionate about empowering patients making lasting changes to improve their health, vitality, and quality of life.
The best thing about being a Dietitian is following the patient journey, empowering them to build a healthy relationship with food to overcome fears and helping them transform both physically and mentally, breaking the cycle of negative self-talk.
My mantra is “It’s not what you eat it’s about WHY you eat!”
To me, eating healthily is about finding a balance and enjoying food. I follow the ‘80/20 rule’. This means 80% of the time I aim to eat and drink well, and that allows me 20% to be more relaxed about what I have and not deprive myself of anything. When combining this with a regular exercise routine, it allows me to keep my weight steady and also feel good while enjoying what I eat.
I aim to give practical advice to help you reach your health and weight loss goals.
I am a Freelance Dietitian fully registered with the Health Care Professions Council, and a member of the British Dietetic Association.

The Dietologist will help you:

*Gastric band adjustments
Before your gastric band can be adjusted a review is necessary
to assess the need for a gastric band fill. This is to ensure the band requires adjusting.
Sometimes the gastric band can be a little
too tight. If you are experiencing; Heartburn, reflux, regular regurgitation, night cough or struggling to keep fluids down, a partial aspiration
(remove some fluid) is what you may need.
